I've posted a reward

hoping that somehow we will find the camera. The kids were all very excited to think they could be the proud owners of a crisp, new, five dollar bill. However, I doubt that the darn camera is going to jump into their hands so we can still count the camera as "lost."

ps I've cabbaged onto Matt's for now, but it will only hold 11 images--maybe I ought to up the reward......

From the Indian Festival

(click on the picture to see it better)

We went to the Indian Festival last Saturday where we got these henna tattoos. It is actually called Mehendi, and I was always going to have it done when we were in India but the logistics never worked out. (You know, jet lag, new child....all that)!
Anyway, it was fun and we still have them although they are fading a bit. The kids were great about it, considering they had to hold their hands flat for over a half hour to let it dry.

As is everything Indian, the festival was overwhelming with it's LOUD music, beautiful colors, and crowds. It brought back the whole experience for Matt and I, and the kids liked it. Marty was thrilled to eat Indian food again--he loves it. We were pleasantly surprised that there were no emotional upsets either. They are such troopers!

Doesn't my van look nice here?

In front of this very pretty house that we'd like to call our own? So far, we're just looking, but we hope it will go farther than that.

Lost in space- or somewhere.....

The camera has been MIA since last Monday. Last place it was seen:next to the computer, on the table, above the trash can (yeah, I know what that implies).. We have looked everywhere, including the laundry hampers in the laundry room (twice). I am having a small anxiety attack about this only because of the cost of replacement. Thankfully, there were only 2-3 images which hadn't been uploaded to the computer (out of about 350). I have alternatley prayed to St. Anthony and begged the kids to help look to no avail.

Hence, the lack of photographic evidence that we are, indeed, still here.

Happy Birthday, Beelissa!

We love you!

Knitting class pictures

Knitting class has been fun for me, and I think the participants are having fun, too. Mostly, we've enjoyed laughing and talking together.
Knitting and fellowship=good therapy!

Here are the gals who have been knitting with me on Monday nights. Also, see my sister there, in the picture? She was "here" too, and had a lot of fun!

The three finished bunnies--aren't they cute?

Here's Paula "Have bunny, will travel!"

I've been trying to load these all day, but Google says "Server Error." Well, at least it's not my error this time! Will try again tomorrow, so stay tuned.

I don't have a good answer...

Tonight was the second night of tears at bedtime from Sarah. Granted, last night she was exhausted, but tonight it was genuine sadness. Through her tears she asked "I don't get it--if Papa says he wants to be with us, and he doesn't want to be away, why did he take this job?" Weeeelllllll.....................

How do I answer in a way that tells a little girl something that makes sense? It wasn't because of money; but more of a security thing. This position is going to be gone in 2 years and we had no idea where we'd end up if we waited here. Also, how do you explain "opportunity" to a nine year old who just wants to be kissed goodnight by her papa every night? This is hard, and it makes me wonder, "Why?" also.

Way to go , Tae Kwon Do!!!

During the test- they have to do the whole form together and separately

Amy receives her gold belt-she's now an eigth gup

Sarah receives her gold belt; she is now an eighth gup, also.

Remember this?

I do, and it makes me weep. Which I've done a lot of this weekend.
