The Timmy Edition

What's this I hear about snow?

Oooooh....is this snow?

Gimme, gimme, gimme!

I think this might be fun, after all!

But it's good to be back inside where it's warm, too.

Found on the camera recently....

Someone was clowning around for the camera!
(Isn't he handsome?)

Sarah is showing her report on Ben Franklin.
She did a fabulous job!

Amy's report was about Amelia Earhart--very fascinating stuff! Did you know Amelia was inspired to fly after seeing her first airplane at
the Iowa State Fair?

Here they are together (in front of the newly tuned, much-better- sounding, piano).

This bird (a type of hawk??) was seen out the kitchen window. He stayed there quite a while.

Projects, part 3

Amy in her ponytail hat.
Sarah in hers.

Theo asked for new socks.

Marty has wanted purple slippers forever!

Are you tired of these yet? That's ok--it's my blog!

Coming soon, pictures of a baby blanket, to be finished tonight.

Recent projects, continued

Each kid got a face cloth. I had to wait until Epiphany to give these, as this year I just couldn't stay up late and knit. Guess I'm getting old!
Superman for Marty

Football for Theo

A fluffy lion for Sarah

and a baseball for Amy.
They all seemed to like them, and I see them hanging on the bathroom, wet!

Some recent projects

Thought I'd show you all some of the projects I knit for Christmas this year. I didn't feel like I got as much done as I wanted to, but that is the case every year.

Here is a clog that later felted, but not given yet. I wonder if she will like them?
We chose a little girl fromthe Angel tree at church. She asked for a doll stroller and paly pen, so I made this to go with them. This looks much like the lap-ghan I made for Grama Pluma 2 years ago--it's made with leftover yarn from that.

this is a "ponytail" hat. It has an opening in the back to fit a ponytail. Originally it was for me, and matched my coat; however, I look terrible in these colors and it has been relegated to the gift cupboard. Any takers?

Another not-so-great result. I was amiming for Hawkeye colors and they fit that. I think it looks too bumblebee-ish though! Also, it obviously turned out a bit large!! Any Steeler fans who would like this one?

These were put together into sets, one of each.
Peace, happiness and love--my wishes for the recipients.I included a bottle of nice lotion with each set.
I will probably make more of these.

Old news, but better than bad news

OK--my friend Betsy (who has more brain cells than I do because her kids are younger then mine) remembered that I already posted about my swap. Duh! I guess I'm trying to compensate for all the stress in my life right now by doing a mundane thing like blogging. Yep, it's pretty mundane when it's a repeat.

Cookies and Carols

The Christmas piano recital was today, and once again, the girls showed their talents! They tied for first place and received trophies to add to their collection.

Amy and Sarah want me to tell you that they each have 4 trophies now.
Here they are with their piano teacher, Ms. Dena.
