Anybody from Iowa know what these are?
hint: You might eat a pie made from them on Thanksgiving....they're pecans (or "pee-cans for NC'ers) from a tree next door!

Look more like hickory nuts. That's what us midwesteners see. They are good too, but lots of time to pick out shells
